We should be going to Catalina Isl. for yellowtail, great calico bass and bonito fishing. Light line is the tackle of the day, 12lb. to 20lb. gear but be sure you have a outfit of 25lb. or 30lb. in case the yellows get hot and heavy. Bait is anchovy and sardine so you should have hooks of #2 to #4/0 live bait hooks. Don't forget your favorite irons to throw, MM2 & MM7 and the leadhead rubbers should work on the calicos.
